I’ve about decided that oatmeal is the worst thing a diabetic can eat, if he or she wants blood-sugar levels to stay low. Shortly after eating my oatmeal this morning (enhanced, as ordered, with milk and nonfat dry milk), I tested my blood sugar. It was 192! It’s NEVER been that high before. I took a whole metformin. Meanwhile, maybe I can check my sugar following oatmeal that does not have all the added milk protein. After all, milk has sugar too.
Soon I won’t be having to get most of my protein from whey (milk). That will really help my sugar if my proteins can be meats, eggs, and perhaps peanut butter.
Only three more Lovenox shots to go before the vena cava filter is removed. Then maybe my poor bruised belly can recover!
